What is the worst thing that can happen?

This is probably the most common question we get from people considering LASIK. We tell everybody that anything could happen including having a heart attack and dying! This sounds drastic but in reality, death and blindness are probably as likely as being hit by a truck crossing the street. I would not refrain from considering LASIK because of concern about blindness. This is not to say that the procedure is not without risks but we take risks on a daily basis. Consider contact lenses. They also have a significant risk of infection, damage to the eye, etc. Yet, many of us will take the risk of contact lenses for their convenience.
